Responsibilities
- Test, maintain, and run steam boilers.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair plumbing and heating systems.
- Provide ongoing support for facility systems including preventative maintenance and modifications, including HVAC, power distribution, and process water systems.
- Maintain the facility's exterior, including landscaping, snow removal, and parking lot upkeep.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility and its equipment to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Support Hot Fire testing operations as required.
- Willing to be a member of the Safety Committee.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED preferred, or demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English.
- Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, concentrating in maintenance or relevant experience in a mechanical/electrical or technical field.
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools and a working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- The ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform strenuous manual labor in various weather conditions.
- A certification in steam boilers or willingness to attend school 1 day per week to obtain this certification.
Qualifications

- An associates degree in a technical field or additional secondary training in a technical field is preferred.
