Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift
About the role
The Maintenance Technician position is available at Kerry's Lakeland, FL location within the beverage division. This role works Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Maintenance team to complete building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and installation.
- Fulfill assigned work orders and handle unforeseen repairs in a timely manner.
- Maintain inventory, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure good housekeeping.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental laws and regulations.
- Work on various areas including cleaning and lubricating machinery, installing pipe systems, repairing gauges, and performing basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or beverage.
- High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
- Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining air compressors and air dryers.
- Ability to install production equipment.
- Knowledge of steam, hydraulic, pneumatic systems and ability to troubleshoot and repair their mechanical components.
- Ability to read and understand piping diagrams and identify component functions.
- Basic electrical and plumbing repair skills.
- PLC experience is highly preferred.

The typical hiring range for this role is $30.00 per hour.
