Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

About the role

The Maintenance Technician position is available at Kerry's Lakeland, FL location within the beverage division. This role works Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Maintenance team to complete building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and installation.
• Fulfill assigned work orders and handle unforeseen repairs in a timely manner.
• Maintain inventory, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure good housekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental laws and regulations.
• Work on various areas including cleaning and lubricating machinery, installing pipe systems, repairing gauges, and performing basic electrical and plumbing repairs.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or beverage.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining air compressors and air dryers.
• Ability to install production equipment.
• Knowledge of steam, hydraulic, pneumatic systems and ability to troubleshoot and repair their mechanical components.
• Ability to read and understand piping diagrams and identify component functions.
• Basic electrical and plumbing repair skills.
• PLC experience is highly preferred.

Pay

The typical hiring range for this role is $30.00 per hour.
