Role Responsibilities
- Arc and gas welding, cutting, brazing, silver and soft soldering
- Interpret blueprints and schematics (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and piping) for machines and buildings
- Troubleshoot electrical A/C and D/C circuits using electrical metering equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot pneumatic systems
- Use basic shop tools such as lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, grinders, etc.
- Install and relocate equipment
- Run conduit for electrical services
- Work at heights
- Maintain preventative maintenance programs in assigned areas
- Plan, implement, and finalize assigned projects with minimal supervision
- Provide positive feedback for corrective action plans to improve equipment reliability
- Work in a team oriented atmosphere
- Repair production equipment in a manner such to minimize interruption to production
- Maintain buildings and grounds as needed
- Inspect, dismantle, service, reassemble, test and adjust equipment of all types for safe and proper operation
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, and take proper care of tools and equipment
- Complies with all DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- A combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma, or equivalent plus a minimum of two years of trade school or qualified work experience.
- Ability to use and understand electrical test equipment
- Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere and a customer comes 1st attitude
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize individual workload to minimize equipment downtime
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Good Computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office applications (Windows, Excel, Outlook)
- Self-motivated, detail oriented with excellent work habits
- Knowledge of OSHA standards
- Continue education as it applies to technical job requirements
- Adhere to safety procedures
- Maintain a pattern of regular and predictable attendance
Preferred Qualifications
- Read blueprints and schematics
- Understand pumps and valves and their application
- Understand refrigeration, air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment
- Knowledge of industrial electric symbols and line diagrams, control logic-line diagrams, AC/DC motors, motor starters and motor controllers
- Knowledge and work experience in the areas of Industrial Electric (NEC) and electronic systems
- Complete Arc Flash Training
- Complete annual training for authorized employees in LOTO
