About the role
As a Maintenance Technician in a decoration and warehouse environment, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery, equipment, and facilities. Your responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, conducting inspections, diagnosing and repairing complex issues, leading troubleshooting efforts, and implementing predictive maintenance strategies.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and conduct inspections on a wide range of manufacturing equipment, conveyor systems, and machinery.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Develop and implement predictive maintenance strategies to enhance equipment performance.
- Support facility maintenance, including building repairs, plumbing, lighting, and other infrastructure components.
- Implement and optimize preventive maintenance schedules for the facility to ensure a safe and well-maintained working environment.
- Lead the troubleshooting efforts for equipment and system malfunctions, employing advanced diagnostic techniques.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems.
- Collaborate with maintenance team members, production staff, and other departments to prioritize and address maintenance needs efficiently.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and equipment performance metrics.
- Generate reports on equipment reliability, maintenance costs, and recommended improvements for management review.
- Support the management of spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components and optimizing inventory levels to reduce downtime.

- Participate in safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literate with knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a structured and process-oriented environment.
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
- Ability to work seasonal mandatory OT as needed and maintain excellent attendance.
- Read and comprehend documents, instructions, and correspondence in English to perform job duties efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders in spoken English, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing valuable insights and feedback in English.
- Learn tasks quickly, accuracy driven, personable, team oriented, and punctual with excellence in attendance.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers.
Education/Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional technical certifications or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision, or as part of a team.
- Proficient in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Physical Requirements

- Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis.
