Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Job Duties

• Preventive Maintenance
• Repairs to equipment to ensure production uptime
• Boiler and refrigeration checks
• Equipment overhauls and updates
• Prior experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, plumbing, and PLCs
• Preventive maintenance experience is a plus
• Must be able to stand and walk up to 12-hours per day
• Ability to frequently bend, lift, and twist
• Display positive attitude and teamwork skills
• Able to function both independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Able to work overtime and holidays as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Industrial Mechanics Degree or equivalent and 3 years' experience
• OR 5 years on the job experience in an Industrial Mechanics position from the food, foundry, or paper industry
• Strong communication skills
• Good problem solver and strong team player
• Able to stand, walk, and climb stairs, up to 12 hours per day
• Meet Maintenance Physical Abilities Evaluation requirements
• Successfully complete all required training including lockout tag out

Working Conditions

• Potential hazards include high noise levels, slippery floors, and temperatures which can vary from cold to warm
• Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required
