Maintenance Technician 1st Class

Main Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operations; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, establishing personal network.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• An associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or Trade Certificate preferred.
• 3 years in Maintenance experience.
• 1 year in area of expertise (e.g. Electronics, Electricity, Refrigeration, Machinist, Machine Repair, Millwright).
• Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility or regulated environment strongly desired.

Union Rate

For this probationary position, the union rate is $49.02 per hour.
