About the role
As a valued member of our dynamic team, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing all aspects of general plant maintenance while developing expertise in specialized maintenance functions at the Evansville O'Hara Facility.
Responsibilities
- Support health, safety, and environmental programs by attending safety meetings, performing safety observations, and reporting incidents and near misses.
- Operate and maintain general maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Interpret and work from hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics, including PLC ladder diagrams.
- Perform electrical work, including wiring, voltage testing, and understanding arc flash hazards and power factors.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment, identifying root causes of failures and implementing corrective actions.
- Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and maintain accurate maintenance records using a computerized system.
- Use precision tools and instruments such as multimeters, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance, including scheduled repairs and equipment upgrades.
- Perform welding (gas, TIG, arc) and fabricate or repair machine guards and components.
- Apply Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 - 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, including electrical systems (up to 480V), mechanical troubleshooting, PLCs, and equipment maintenance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP Maintenance Module is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Technical or class certifications in maintenance-related disciplines are a plus.
- Must be a self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision and can influence team members at all levels.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to achieving results and continuous improvement.
- Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, provide overtime coverage, and respond to occasional plant callouts.
- Comfortable working with hazardous and flammable chemicals, following all safety protocols and using proper protective equipment.
- Able to work around and manually interact with heavy equipment.
- Willing and able to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
- Able to work in confined spaces and at heights above 25 feet, including climbing stairs and vertical ladders.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs safely and regularly.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.

- 7:00PM-7:15AM - (2days on, 2days off, every other weekend)
