Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts, such as control panels.
- This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations.
- Must be professional, technical, and mechanically proficient.
- Work can be physically demanding. In order to install and repair equipment, the electrician may need to crawl, climb and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must also be able to operate tools in close proximity to electrical components.
- Diagnose electrical problems with production equipment working with fuses, electrical feed sources and control wiring.
- Communicate with OEM equipment tech support of equipment problems to request technical assistance.
- Must be able to understand and make decisions based on technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, or instructions.
- Must be motivated to work on their own and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills are a necessary part of this position.
- Complete electrical installations from 120-460 volts; troubleshoot electrical circuits.
Requirements
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components of industrial equipment and facility.
- Working as a team member or alone to complete Maintenance projects.
- Observing safety procedures and meeting National and State electrical codes.
- Making decisions based on technical documents.
- Performing quality testing and inspections.
- Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Motivated self-starter who can manage projects and make decisions.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents.
- Must have knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
- Must be willing to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
Qualifications
- Journeyman's or Master Electrician's License, and/or Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) and/or combined education and equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of electrical/controls experience.
Skills
- Basic PC skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
- PLC experience, knowledgeable in programming controllers.

1st Shift hours are 5:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Thursday. Overtime as scheduled; could include weekends.
