MAINTENANCE TECHINICIAN

About the role

JBS USA is seeking an hourly Maintenance Team Member for immediate employment. Hourly pay is negotiable starting at $23.50 per hour, with increases based on experience. A resume is required for consideration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform building maintenance duties and specific tasks such as repairing conveyors, gearboxes, or hydraulic systems as assigned by the supervisor
• Preventive maintenance and repairs on the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Troubleshoot machinery quickly and effectively
• Preventive maintenance and repairs to rendering equipment, such as conveyors, gearboxes, augers, and pumps
• Complete all tasks in the safest and most efficient manner
• Be experienced and knowledgeable in high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, case formers, labeling equipment, fillers, and conveyors
• Knowledge of welding (S/S, Mig, Tig) is a plus
• Day-to-day maintenance and repair of equipment
• Labeling and tagging of systems and/or checks for verifications
• Troubleshoot and repair high-speed food processing and packaging equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems on production equipment
• Comply with all safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Support and manage all computer/network components, including servers, switches, cabling, and desktop systems at assigned locations
• Document Local Area Network at assigned location(s)
• Document and maintain “Standard Operating Procedures” for site-specific technologies in use at the facility
• Fundamental understanding of VLANs
• Work with end users and propose new hardware and software solutions to support the business
• Test all hardware and software modifications before they are introduced into production
• Provide hardware and software diagnostics for network, hardware, and software issues
• Manage technology projects in compliance with IT standards
• Provide hardware and network support for “Production Floor” computer systems
• Supporting all printer functions at assigned locations
• Data Maintenance
• Facilities Maintenance to include: mowing, trimming, painting, switcher truck maintenance, boilers, pumps, gates, storage racks, and storm water maintenance

Qualifications

• Climbing, including ladders, lifting, working with a variety of hand and power tools, shop machines, and tools
• Previous maintenance experience (preferred)
• 480 Volts Control Circuitry
• PLC
• Electrical
• Multimeter
• IT/Data Maintenance/PC Maintenance

Work Environment

The work environment may include cold and/or hot temperatures.
