About the role
Tate & Lyle is a global provider of ingredients and solutions to the food, beverage, and other industries. This role focuses on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operating machine tool, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards
- Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods
- Maintaining accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, including welding, plumbing, pipefitting, metal fabrication, equipment troubleshooting, and installation of equipment
- Perform basic electrical testing and troubleshooting of motor starters, drives, controls, etc.
- Assist and perform trouble shooting/repairs to multiple types of equipment
- Interface with plant personnel, contractors, and vendors
- Provide off-shift coverage and call-ins
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications for data entry/document creation
Requirements
- Understanding of basic electricity (qualified Worker)
- Understanding of pumps, compressors, blowers, etc.
- Understanding of conveyors and power transmission equipment
- Mobile Equipment Training- Forktruck Permit
- Tate & Lyle complies with all local/state regulations requiring salary range transparency.
Qualifications
- Technical knowledge of pumps, gear boxes, hydraulics, and other equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, and P&ID’s, and other drawings
- Ability to wear PPE and other safety equipment
- Ability to use hand, air, and power tools
- Ability to lift and maneuverer fifty (50) pounds without mechanical assistance
Skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications for data entry/document creation

Pay
