Maintenance Tech, Van Buren

About the role

Tate & Lyle is a global provider of ingredients and solutions to the food, beverage, and other industries. This role focuses on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operating machine tool, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards
• Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods
• Maintaining accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, including welding, plumbing, pipefitting, metal fabrication, equipment troubleshooting, and installation of equipment
• Perform basic electrical testing and troubleshooting of motor starters, drives, controls, etc.
• Assist and perform trouble shooting/repairs to multiple types of equipment
• Interface with plant personnel, contractors, and vendors
• Provide off-shift coverage and call-ins
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications for data entry/document creation

Requirements

• Understanding of basic electricity (qualified Worker)
• Understanding of pumps, compressors, blowers, etc.
• Understanding of conveyors and power transmission equipment
• Mobile Equipment Training- Forktruck Permit
• Tate & Lyle complies with all local/state regulations requiring salary range transparency.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of pumps, gear boxes, hydraulics, and other equipment
• Ability to read blueprints, and P&ID’s, and other drawings
• Ability to wear PPE and other safety equipment
• Ability to use hand, air, and power tools
• Ability to lift and maneuverer fifty (50) pounds without mechanical assistance

Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft applications for data entry/document creation

Pay

Starting pay for this position is $29.04/hour. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes but is not limited to:
