About the Role
Dana, a global leader in highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies, is seeking a maintenance professional to ensure efficient plant and equipment operations in Louisville, KY. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as contributing to process improvements and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, adjust, install, and replace AC and DC electrical equipment (e.g., batteries, motor starters, VFDs, encoders).
- Inspect, repair, and replace mechanical components (e.g., motors, drive chains, bearings, conveyor belts).
- Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems (e.g., hoses, cylinders, pumps, FRLs).
- Analyze and solve electrical and mechanical problems, assisting manufacturing personnel with process issues.
- Perform welding and fabrication projects, repairing tools, workstations, and equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and establish new PM activities using the eMaint CMMS system.
- Assist in machinery installation, plant rearrangements, and continuous process improvement (Lean Manufacturing).
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA, electrical codes, and Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical degree or Journeyman Card/License preferred.
- 4+ years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills, demonstrated through aptitude testing.
- Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication.
- Ability to troubleshoot and program Allen Bradley PLCs and Fanuc/ABB robots (a plus).
- Experience with 480V 3-phase, 120V, DC voltage, and high AMP loads.
- Proficiency in reading CAD mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
- Availability for overtime, off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and shutdowns.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, email, and data entry.
- Exemplary attendance and strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
