About the role

Current positions available for 1st Shift Maintenance Tech, 2nd Shift PM Tech, and 3rd Shift PM Tech.

Responsibilities

  • Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts, and adjusts feed mechanisms.
  • Cleans and lubricates machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
  • Replaces or repairs machine belts.
  • Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines.
  • Paints machines or equipment to prevent corrosion.
  • Bends and cuts conduit and wire, and drills holes in walls, floors, and ceilings for electrical connections.
  • Bends, cuts, and threads pipe, cuts openings in walls, ceilings, and floors for pipes, and seals pipe joints with sealing compound.
  • Cuts out and joins parts for worktables, benches, shelves and other furnishings.
  • Patches or replaces plaster or plaster board and paints walls, ceilings, and trim of building.
  • Clears clogged drains, and replaces plumbing fixtures.
  • Operates welding machine to repair or join metal parts.
  • Performs preventative maintenance work orders on a timely basis.
  • Furnishes Industrial Maintenance Technician with materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
  • Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Complies with all Environment Health and Safety Rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Additional responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on all equipment directly or indirectly related to the cell operation.
  • Inspect, clean, lubricate, and adjust equipment and machinery according to maintenance schedules.
  • Identify worn or damaged parts and replace them to prevent equipment breakdowns.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of maintenance work completed, including service logs and parts used.
  • Collaborate with machine operators and production staff to understand performance issues and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  • Aid in troubleshooting and minor repairs during downtime situations.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working on equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance work areas and tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to equipment performance and reliability.
  • Assist with inventory control for maintenance supplies and spare parts.
  • Support other maintenance and repair projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or preventative maintenance roles preferred.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues before failures occur.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills for logging maintenance records and using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work on ladders, and perform duties in various environments (hot, cold, noisy).

  • Environment: Enclosed structure with moderate temperatures ranging from 55 degrees to 100 degrees. Higher temperatures near the oven for short periods of time. Noise levels up to 94db.
