Maintenance Tech Plumber

About the role

Maintains and repairs various plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems within healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, and repairs domestic water pumps, piping lines, filters, and plumbing fixtures.
• Repairs and maintains steam stations, valves, heating and condensate return stations, and sewer and storm drains.
• Maintains medical gas systems and assists in the operation and maintenance of painting, HVAC, electrical, locksmith, and alarm systems.
• Troubleshoots, tests, and repairs plumbing, mechanical machinery, equipment, systems, and piping as needed.
• Provides on-the-job skills training to other staff members.
• Assists in responding to emergency calls and taking call as required by facility policies.
• Maintains records of all maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Supports the development of new processes, products, or services.
• Responds to in-house work orders and preventive maintenance tasks promptly.

Requirements

• Ability to assist trade personnel and contractors.
• Experience in plumbing equipment maintenance, installations, and modifications.
• Ability to contribute to system training manuals and upgrades.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Able to document records neatly and accurately.
• Able to generate requisitions for materials and supplies.
• Able to prioritize tasks and assign responsibilities effectively.
• Able to instruct others based on blueprints and sketches.
• Able to interpret documents and solve practical problems.
• Able to calculate figures and amounts accurately.
• Knowledge of safe handling tools and equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of general plumbing experience.

$23.91 - $44.46 per hour.
