Maintenance Tech

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, professional and safe working environment
• Perform and adhere to an in-depth Preventative Maintenance Program
• Work with Operations on projects
• Must understand and participate in LOTO program
• Be able to work flexible hours, including a rotating shift between nights and days
• Accurately measure multiple ingredient bins
• Unload fat tankers
• Assist in Packaging if needed
• Rebuild and repair multiple types of equipment
• Inspect and monitor bearing systems
• Help to foster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance at all times
• Maintain a team environment at all times

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Basic troubleshooting skills and mechanical experience preferred
• Electrical experience preferred
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to change
• Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Adhere to all safety requirements in all work environments, operate in a manufacturing environment, exposed to moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise levels, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, chemicals, lifting weights up to sixty (60) pounds, climbing several flights of stairs and ladders, opening and closing flow valves, bending, twisting and turning while lifting weight of less than fifty (50) pounds, data entry while seated for greater than one (1) hour, walking up to two (2) or more miles a day, pushing brooms, shovels, etc., wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), using hand and power tools
