Maintenance Tech – Newberry, SC

Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate with property management to ensure efficient and effective completion of maintenance tasks. Knowledge of common methods, practices, and materials used in maintenance and repair work of buildings and building facilities; various tools used in building maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with property management to ensure efficient and effective completion of maintenance tasks.
• Perform routine building maintenance for Newberry Housing Authority properties.
• Support Newberry Housing Authority mission, strategic goals, and objectives.

Requirements

• Requires a high school or GED equivalent.
• Two (2) years of experience in labor work.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and construction; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
• Requires HVAC Repair Certification or able to obtain certification within one (1) year of employment.

Qualifications
