About the Role
Perform various duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance during machine service. Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair on various equipment and building maintenance.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Safely operate and repair forklifts.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance mechanic/technician role in a manufacturing environment.
- Electrical training/experience with 480 3-phase/machine controls preferred.
- Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs preferred.
- Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, and procedures.
- Experience operating forklift equipment.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety, continuous learning, and development.
- Complete training courses as determined by management.
Pay
$30 to $40 an hour, paid weekly (based on experience).
Schedule
Day Shift, 2-2-3 schedule.
