Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with experience working with Davis Standard and TSL equipment, Allen Bradley, and Siemens equipment. Candidates should have basic knowledge of problem-solving and technical mechanical skills.
Compensation and Schedule
The Maintenance Associate position is available on a 2-2-3 schedule from 7PM to 7AM. Compensation is $23-26 per week plus a $1.00 shift differential.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Conducting preventive maintenance tasks, inspections, and equipment servicing to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes, and implementing effective repair solutions
- Repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments
- Performing routine maintenance on blown film machinery, including extruders, dies, air rings, cooling systems, winders, and associated equipment
- Collaborating with lead operators and production teams to identify and address equipment issues or performance concerns
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records, including work orders, repair logs, and inventory management
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and disposal of materials
- Coordinating with external vendors or contractors for specialized repairs, installations, or equipment upgrades
- Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment
- Keeping abreast of advancements in maintenance technology and equipment, recommending improvements or upgrades as needed
Candidate Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical certifications or training in blown film production or maintenance are preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing facility or related field
- Strong technical knowledge of machinery, including extruders, dies, air rings, cooling systems, winders, Numatics, electrical, hydraulics, and associated equipment
- Ability to read prints, schematic and assembly drawings
- Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, diagnosing issues, and implementing effective repair solutions
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance strategies, equipment servicing, and repair techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet maintenance schedules
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Basic computer literacy for maintenance tracking and reporting
