Maintenance Tech III-Wills Point

Responsibilities

This position consists of repairing and maintaining all recycling facility equipment, including heavy mobile equipment, conveyors, ballers, shredders, etc., as well as installing new equipment and performing preventive maintenance tasks.

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment and industrial recycling equipment to minimize downtime and make improvements
• Responsible for maintaining the Sennebogen and caterpillar machine handlers
• Perform repair work on systems including hydraulics, electronic/electrical systems, mechanical repairs, basic fabrication, preventive maintenance, and other tasks as assigned
• Complete work orders and keep detailed notes of repairs performed
• Identify necessary parts for repairs and use computers/internet to research and source part/equipment replacements

The role requires working in multiple positions, including kneeling, bending, crouching, elevated in lifts, for extended durations, and observing all safety requirements. The ability to give and receive constructive feedback for coaching and work various shifts if needed is also necessary.

Qualifications

A minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable experience related to industrial troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair experience on heavy equipment or in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment is required.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; climb; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15-50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
