About the role

Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and spontaneous maintenance on conveyors, electrical motors, material handling equipment, skill saws, propane torches, man-lifts, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, grinders, electrical test equipment, and ladders.
- Operate and maintain lift equipment jacks, chargers, and batteries.
- Perform general building maintenance including overhead doors, construction repair, roll carts, floor repair, and second level gates, doors, etc...
- Perform light plumbing maintenance.
- Carry out carpentry assignments as needed.
- Ensure safe work practices and uphold the company's safety culture.
- Contribute to the success of Staples Supply Chain by supporting customer deliveries.
Requirements
- A mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics, including electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of vendor manuals and procedures for preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
- MHE certification to operate power material handling equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc.
- Inclusive approach to colleagues and customers, fostering strong relationships and collaboration.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
- Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of related experience.
- Ability to pass a drug screen.
- Full-time position requires flexibility to work additional hours and overtime.
- Must be able to work at heights up to 60 feet or more.
- Must be at least 18 years old.

$25.12 - $34.54/hour + $1.25/hour Shift Differential
