Perks of the job, · Excellent benefit package which includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. · Paid vacation, Paid Holiday & 401K, Company match after (1) one year that vests immediately upon participation · Collaborative, dynamic work environment within a fast-paced awesome company Maintenance Tech II Position Summary: A Maintenance Tech II provides specialized, highly skilled maintenance support to install, repair, overhaul, modify, and perform preventive maintenance on complex production machinery and equipment, building facilities, and grounds to improve operational efficiency and minimize downtime. Essential Functions: A Maintenance Tech II performs advanced maintenance and installation work on complex industrial systems beyond the Maintenance Technician I level, including, based on assignment, troubleshooting and repairing complex electronics and instrumentation or fabricating close-tolerance parts and components. Installs, repairs, overhauls, modifies, and performs preventive maintenance on production machinery, equipment, facilities, and grounds to support reliable operations and minimize downtime. Uses routine and specialized maintenance equipment, including test meters, power and hand tools, ladders, scaffolds, forklifts, manlifts, lathes, milling machines, and welding equipment, as required by assignment. Tracks daily repairs and associated costs and orders parts and documents receipt as requested. Provides technical guidance and training to Maintenance Technician I employees as needed. Maintains a clean and orderly work area and follows all applicable safety rules, company policies and procedures, and local, state, and federal requirements. Maintains documentation and procedures in accordance with applicable ISO Environmental Management System and Quality Management System requirements. Supervisory Responsibilities: No formal supervisory responsibilities. Provides technical guidance and training to Maintenance Technician I employees as needed. Required Skills/Abilities: A Maintenance Tech II must have working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, instrumentation, and electro-mechanical maintenance and repair concepts Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, diagrams, engineering specifications, and operating instructions Ability, based on assignment, to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic equipment or fabricate and duplicate close-tolerance parts and components Ability to safely operate routine maintenance tools and equipment and, as assigned, specialized equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, lathes, milling machines, and welding equipment Knowledge of and ability to work with materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, CPVC, PVC, Lexan, wood, rubber, and other specialized materials as required Education and Experience: Diploma from an accredited two-year technical school in electronics, instrumentation, metalsmithing, machining, or a related technical discipline Five (5) or more years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, Electronics Technician, Instrumentation Technician, Machinist, Metalsmith, or in a comparable industrial maintenance role Work Environment & Travel: Work is primarily performed in a production/manufacturing and maintenance environment and may involve exposure to moving machinery, elevated work areas, restricted spaces, noise, and materials used in industrial maintenance activities. May be required to use ladders, scaffolds, forklifts, manlifts, and other maintenance or material-handling equipment in accordance with applicable safety requirements. Travel requirements: None anticipated; occasional travel may be required based on business needs. Physical Requirements: Must be able to raise, manipulate, and maneuver tools, components, and materials weighing up to 100 pounds to heights of 48 inches above floor level as many as five times per day. Must be able to work in restricted spaces to access machinery and equipment components and undercarriages. Must be able to descend to and ascend from a kneeling position as many as 30 times per day while working on production equipment and machinery. Must have sufficient visual acuity to properly place and align components and accurately distinguish colors to identify, trace, and match color-coded wires and components. Must have sufficient auditory acuity, with or without audiological appliances, to identify appropriate and inappropriate machinery sounds and locate defective bearings or other damaged or deteriorating moving mechanical parts.
