Maintenance Tech II
Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is seeking a dedicated and customer service-oriented Maintenance Tech II to help fulfill our mission of delivering compassionate care to enhance lives and improve communities. About the Role
A Maintenance Tech II provides advanced maintenance and repair to all Center facilities and locations, including business offices, clinics, and client living quarters. This role covers all building systems except HVAC and refrigeration.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of troubleshooting and repair tasks, including maintenance and repair of company-owned structures and facilities.
- Assist in inspections of company-owned property and prepare sites for REAC, HUD, HOME, and HQS inspections as needed.
- Perform carpentry repairs, new builds, advanced building systems repair, and metal fabricating tasks while maintaining buildings and repairing structures and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, structural, plumbing, and physical building systems at all facilities.
- Source and purchase items/services from vendors to ensure the best value for the organization.
- Attend trainings and seminars to stay updated on the latest solutions in the field.
- Maintain company-owned equipment and tools, including repair, replacement, and cleaning.
- Create and maintain a schedule for inspecting auxiliary building systems such as roofs, exterior doors, gates, perimeter fencing, and other items not typically covered in quarterly inspections.
- Maintain and inventory company supplies and regularly used items, including cataloging inventory and making suggestions for storage.
- Assist with scheduling and repair of items at outlying sites (locations outside the Metro Phoenix area).
- Assist with pickup and delivery of maintenance and repair-related job materials when needed.
- Serve as an emergency call delegation contact and respond to on-call situations after hours and on weekends.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- At least 5 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of 5 years of trade school, professional experience, or college-level coursework in electrical wiring, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, or another trade/construction-related field.
- Valid and current Arizona driver’s license; must pass motor vehicle screening for insurance purposes.
- Fingerprint clearance issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety or eligibility to obtain upon hire.
