Maintenance Tech II at Large Apartment Complex

Location: Monaco Lakes – two adjacent properties at 6165 E. Iliff Ave and 2330 S. Kearney St., Denver, CO 80222

About the role

Coughlin Property Management is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Monaco Lakes Apartments, a 500+ unit multi-family complex spanning two communities. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose and solve problems with cost-effective, long-term solutions.
• Perform maintenance work on the property, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other related tasks; assist with grounds work when required.
• Coordinate and monitor the quality of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
• Adhere to mandatory on-call rotation requirements for emergency repairs or maintenance issues.
• Perform snow removal duties as directed by the maintenance supervisor, with an expected start time of 6:00 am.
• Ensure prompt response to all service requests, including emergency situations.
• Work consistently and remain engaged throughout the entire work shift.
• Assist with daily inspections of community grounds and interior, immediately addressing deficiencies to ensure the community is safe, clean, and comfortable for residents, team members, and guests.
• Complete all required training, meetings, and programs.
• Interact well with residents from all age groups and cultural backgrounds.
• Maintain standards for staff uniforms, dress codes, hygiene, and appearance for property staff.
• Show up on-time and ready to work for all shifts; provide advanced notice when an absence is needed.
• Demonstrate professionalism in all forms of communication, including email, phone calls, video calls, and text messaging.
• Conduct regular inspections of property, including vacant spaces; report and address suspicious activity or potential security issues.

Requirements

• General knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
• Strong communication skills and customer service to interact with team and residents.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift and move sizeable weights.
• Able to work for long periods on feet.
• Able to work in confined spaces.
• Able to work for long periods outdoors in multiple seasons.

Pay

$24–$26 per hour
