Maintenance Tech. II

Responsibilities

• Daily, receives assigned work order to complete on equipment and completes tasks in the allocated timeline.
• Enters appropriate information onto worksheet for submission into MRP and CMMS system.
• Performs scheduled PMs and visually inspect.
• Tests assigned machines and equipment for proper functionality.
• May be required to order requisition parts as needed.
• Performs repairs on production machines and/or equipment when a malfunction has been detected.
• May discuss machine operation variations with Maintenance Manager or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem and repair the machine.
• Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Performs machine installations/moves and building maintenance tasks as needed.
• Aids workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
• Ensures that a high level of safety is always adhered to on and off the production floor.
• Aids in TPM development and implementation.
• All duties covered under Maintenance Technician level I.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• A technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Machining or Certificate in Industrial maintenance.
• At least 5 years of Industrial maintenance experience.
• Thorough knowledge of programming of PLC and CNC controls.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and understanding of various industrial machinery and systems.
• Problem solving and diagnostic abilities to analyze equipment issues and find solutions.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Strong communications skills to collaborate with production on timelines and schedules.
• Proficiency in word, excel, and online CMMS systems.
