Maintenance Tech I

Brief Description:

This person works directly under the Facilities Manager or designee and is responsible for a wide range of exterior maintenance and grounds keeping duties at numerous buildings, grounds and related installations owned or under control, care, and custody of the county. Employee must be able to work independently and perform all duties with minimal supervision. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, attend job-related meetings, and perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping practices.
  • Experience in outdoor maintenance work.

Qualifications

• Qualifications:
  • Two years of related experience in outdoor maintenance work.
  • Completion of a recognized groundskeeping training program.

Skills

• Skills:
  • Proficient in using tools and equipment for maintenance and grounds keeping.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
