Maintenance Tech I

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, installations and repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment/systems and/or routine maintenance duties on the facility, building grounds, equipment and machinery at the site.
• Use standard and special maintenance/repair tools including, but not limited to hand tools, saws, drills, cutting devices, grinding tools, measuring devices, etc.
• Work with an attitude toward continuous improvement with a team approach to problem-solving and decision making.
• Prioritize and assign jobs, monitor variances.
• Ensure that appropriate records, instructions and prints are maintained.
• Perform duties in a safe manner at all times.
• Follow policies and procedures including manufacturer’s instructions and related regulations (EHS, Hazcom, LOTO, electrical/mechanical safety, etc.).
• Perform Machine Maintenance
• Perform Plant and operations maintenance Operating Procedures and/or work instructions.
• Is responsible for the quality of own work.
• Follows schedules, procedures and 6S housekeeping practices.
• Be goal-oriented toward manufacturing cost and work center efficiency.
• Offers ideas, suggestions, and improvement concepts for improving the utilization and productivity of the department.
