About the role
The Grand Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Tech/Groundskeeper to join our team. The primary responsibilities include general maintenance tasks, plumbing and electrical repairs, material movement, property maintenance, and emergency response. The position requires weekend availability and flexibility with the schedule. The rate of pay is between $18 to $19 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- General Maintenance Tasks: Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the facility, including painting resident rooms and other areas.
- Plumbing & Electrical: Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs and maintenance as needed.
- Material Movement: Move materials and equipment between rooms and different areas of the facility as necessary.
- Property Maintenance: Maintain lawns and facility landscaping.
- Emergency Response: Be available to respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed (plowing, salting, snow and ice removal).
- Supervision: Work under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
- Experience: General maintenance knowledge, including experience with plumbing and electrical systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move at least 50 to 100 lbs.
- Work Schedule: Must be available to work one weekend per month.
- Team Player: Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Must meet the requirements of the Department of Health.
- Emergency Response: Willingness to respond to emergency calls as required.
