Responsibilities

• Transport residents as scheduled
• Perform maintenance and daily checks on buses or vehicles used for transportation
• Assist with resident activities when no appointments are scheduled
• Prepare empty apartments for new residents by painting and making small repairs
• Support the Maintenance Director with a variety of projects using general handyman skills
• Keep supplies organized and ready for use
• Assist residents in entering and exiting vehicles, ensuring they are safely secured according to motor vehicle laws
• Deliver packages or purchases obtained during outings
• Obey all state motor vehicle and driving laws to ensure safe transportation of residents
• Maintain a log of vehicle use, recording date, time, distance, and passengers
• Keep vehicles clean inside and out
• Regularly change the oil and keep vehicles fueled
• Expedite any bills or expenditures to the Director immediately
• Obtain or schedule annual vehicle inspections
• Recommend other repairs or maintenance as needed
• Complete a vehicle checklist before each trip
• Maintain a list/log of passengers and carry an Emergency Contact Sheet for all on board
