Maintenance Tech – Cordele, GA

About the role

The Cordele Housing Authority is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join their team. This position will perform a variety of skilled trade and labor activities under the direction of the Facilities Management Director.

Responsibilities

• Completes physical work tasks related to the maintenance, improvement, and safety of assigned Public Housing properties managed by the Authority.
• Performs routine electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, general repair, appliance repair, vacancy preparation, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintains open communication with management, consistently maintains a professional, courteous attitude with residents, co-workers, and the general public.
• Attends and participates in training seminars as requested and performs on-call emergency service as required.

Requirements

• Experience in general maintenance duties at a multifamily rental property.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of four years' experience performing general maintenance duties.
• Trade licenses/certifications are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least four years of experience performing general maintenance duties.
• Trade licenses/certifications are preferred but not required.

Skills

• Skilled in routine electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, general repair, appliance repair, vacancy preparation, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to maintain open communication with management and residents.
• Proficient in using tools and equipment related to maintenance and repair.
