About the role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Repair Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of CNC machining centers and other machinery in our production environment. As part of the maintenance team, you will also assist with building maintenance and other tasks as assigned.
Schedule
Day shift: 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with Saturday hours from 7 a.m. to noon. Must be available to work overtime as needed for emergency repairs or projects, totaling a 58+ hour workweek. Some Sundays may also be required.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments, including on equipment with incomplete documentation.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance during machine service.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Handle plumbing maintenance, carpentry functions, and other building maintenance tasks as necessary.
- Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Perform other maintenance tasks as assigned by the manager.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Operate forklifts and cranes.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with CNC machine repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Mechanical skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical prints.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Must meet physical requirements of the position, including frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull continuously.
- Capable of working in environments with varying sound levels, solvents, chemicals, and potential allergens.
- Must be able to work on ladders and lifts in high, precarious places.
- Ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced environment and in close proximity to others.
- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Organized, responsible, and capable of multitasking.
- Capable of interfacing with various personalities at all levels of the organization.
