Involved in varied maintenance work with minimal supervision, assisting the Director of Maintenance with continuous improvement in facilities. As the subject matter expert on various equipment, this role supports coaching for all team levels—operators and technicians—on equipment PM standard work, lessons from failures, and trainer activities. Executes Preventative, Predictive, Precision, and Corrective Maintenance to drive continuous OEE improvement.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine maintenance of boiler room and incinerator equipment on a scheduled basis.
- Understands functions and operates all controls and safety devices for energy center equipment.
- Assists evening and shift personnel to maintain operations.
- Serves as backup for shift calls on floors, including tube systems.
- Available on-site during shift duty for emergency response.
- Tests water samples from boiler, chillers, closed loop systems, water softeners, condensate, and cooling towers.
- Checks fuel oil tank levels and fires boilers on fuel oil.
- Uses energy management computer system to control and monitor equipment operation.
- Inspects equipment and boiler room hourly, plus other mechanical rooms daily, to ensure safety and efficiency; records data in logbooks.
- Maintains water levels in boilers, domestic hot and cold water tanks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Industrial Maintenance field.
- Validation from management as a "subject matter expert" on in-house equipment.
- Ability to read and understand complex instructions, prints, flowcharts, timing diagrams, and schematics.
- Ability to clearly articulate and relay instructions to personnel ranging from upper management to hourly associates.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, vendors, or employees.
- Arkansas state Boiler Operator's License.
Pay
$33.95 per hour.
