Maintain and repair mechanical and hydraulic equipment
- Install pumps
- Perform boiler repair
- Work on pipe fitting
- Inspect, repair, and maintain facility equipment
- Assemble, dismantle, and adjust mechanical and hydraulic equipment
- Perform welding, cutting, and burning when needed
- Interpret blueprints and technical sketches
- Operate overhead crane and/or fork truck
- Maintain a safe and clean working area
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform miscellaneous repair work
- Inspect, repair, and maintain rolling mill equipment
- Inspect, repair, and maintain furnace mechanical equipment
- Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical shears
- Inspect, repair, and maintain annealing equipment
- Assemble, dismantle, and adjust conveyors
- Assemble, dismantle, and adjust mill stands
- Assemble, dismantle, and adjust mill housings
- Perform welding, cutting, and burning when needed
- Interpret blueprints and technical sketches
- Operate overhead crane and/or fork truck
- Maintain a safe and clean working area

Skills/Experience
- 3-5 Years relevant experience preferred
- Mechanical ability
- Analytical Ability
- Basic Welding Skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics
Education/Training
- AS trade school mechanical / electrical disciplines preferred
- Hydraulics / pneumatics / electrical skill sets
Knowledge
- Knowledge of mechanical working in steel-related or industrial environment
Requirements
- Must be trained in all areas of mechanical testing and repairs
- Journeyman papers preferred
