Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe and ethical work practices. Ask for help when needed or unsure.
- On time completion of assigned Preventive Maintenance (PM).
- Daily maintenance tasks include checking and filling oil and coolant, cleaning machines, collecting trash and recyclables.
- Complete other assigned work orders on time, working alone or assisting as part of the team.
- Help in production areas or run machines when needed.
- Perform industrial/plant functions such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, miscellaneous facility repairs, and minor electrical/mechanical systems.
- Maintain, repair, and replace equipment and/or parts as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate recordkeeping of all duties performed.
- Work with outside maintenance crews for more specialized projects.
- Take direction from the Maintenance Supervisor or named active lead for all maintenance-related work and from the cell lead when helping with production.
- Must have own tools.
- Demonstrate understanding, support, and consistent application of our Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-year previous maintenance experience, trade or technical school preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and all types of production/industrial machines.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both written and verbally.
- Clear communication in English, both verbal and written.
- Able to function alone or as part of a team.
- Able to pass internal forklift and scissor lift certifications.
- Able to follow Lockout/Tag out and Hot Work procedures.
- Able to read and interpret manuals, specifications, drawings, and blueprints.
- Ability or willingness to learn to operate machine tools.
- Able to maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Hydraulic experience or skills are a plus.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and hold a forklift certification.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
