Maintenance Tech

About the role

Sentry Management is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our Columbia, SC market. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the quality completion of all maintenance tasks and projects at multiple associations for the division. This position requires interaction with colleagues, homeowners, vendors, and sometimes the Association Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of building systems, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Address repair requests from residents and promptly resolve issues related to common areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, including outdoor amenities such as pools.
• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous maintenance experience.
• Professional, organized, and self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and walk up to 8 hours per day.
• Ability to safely bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in variable weather conditions.
• General computer skills.
• Valid license to operate a motor vehicle with a clean driving record.
