About the role
Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Skilled is seeking a full-time maintenance technician with benefits.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with and follows directions from the maintenance director/supervisor.
- Maintains building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Maintains and repairs basic functions of the center as determined by the maintenance director/supervisor.
- Takes care of tools and equipment.
- Makes minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkling systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and extinguishers.
- Changes filters on HVAC equipment.
- Carries, lifts, and stocks supplies.
- Remains on call, when assigned, for 24 hours a day.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand spoken English to ensure the safety and well-being of patients and visitors.
Skills
- Good organizational skills.
- Agile and in good physical health.
- Ability to positively interact with personnel, customers, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
