Maintenance Tech

Kadima at Greenville is looking for compassionate, caring individuals to join our team as a Maintenance Assistant. The primary purpose of this role is to implement required maintenance procedures efficiently and cost-effectively while ensuring a safe environment for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility by repairing walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, windows, and removing trash
• Moves furniture to complete assignments
• Coordinates daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas
• Assists in terminal cleaning of resident rooms upon transfer, discharge, or death
• Follows maintenance schedules and instructions from supervisors as outlined in established policies and procedures
• Performs routine maintenance and repair on facility and equipment, including plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical work
• Completes maintenance request slips and submits them to the supervisor
• Performs routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, and driveways by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc.
• Replaces burned-out light bulbs, including exit lights and overhead lights
• Ensures the operation of machinery, mechanical equipment, and facility upkeep by assisting in the Preventative Maintenance Program
• May assume on-call responsibilities as scheduled, including weekends and holidays
• Performs unscheduled or emergency maintenance tasks as directed
• Assists in the smooth operation of the maintenance department
• Transports residents in a comfortable, safe, and timely manner, including arranging vehicle cleaning and maintenance, and planning routes based on road and traffic conditions

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no traffic violations)
• Must meet the minimum age requirement of 25 for driving company vehicles in PA
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Previous long-term care experience preferred
• Experience in basic repair and maintenance such as plumbing, carpentry, and painting preferred
