Maintenance Tech

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Aids in achieving the department and equipment performance objectives.
• Performs routine and emergency maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical issues.
• Completes assigned project work.
• Maintains high performance levels and participates in preventive maintenance of all plant equipment.
• Gathers information to maintain a computerized PM program.
• Supports new equipment installation and relocation of existing equipment.
• Maintains facilities and equipment to meet MS, OSHA, and USDA standards.
• Improves equipment uptime through machine modifications, adjustments, and maintenance.
• Supports other maintenance tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with preventive maintenance systems in a manufacturing facility (2 years preferred).
• Ground beef experience preferred.
• Industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic electrical experience/understanding required.
• Willingness to learn essential.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Commitment to providing high detail and pride in equipment maintenance.
• Ability to maintain neat and orderly shop/utility areas.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Able to interpret documents and follow instructions.
• Able to solve complex problems and work with variable conditions.
• Able to work in a refrigerated environment.
