Maintenance Tech

About the Role

The incumbent in this position will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, which may include HVAC-R, electronic systems, electrical, air, water, and/or equipment. The role involves responding to all General Maintenance service calls, ensuring events are set up per diagrams, and maintaining the overall upkeep and repairs of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Creates an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock Bristol for gaming entertainment; builds and retains guest relations while mentoring team members to provide superior guest service.
• Performs overall maintenance, upkeep, and repairs of the facility, including climbing extension ladders up to 20+ feet.
• Conducts minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry equipment and systems.
• Performs event setups and teardowns safely and in a timely manner; moves furniture and equipment as directed.
• Supports other departmental events as needed.
• Installs and repairs doors, furniture, office partitions, flooring, and related items.
• Prepares drywall for painting and performs painting and staining of walls, furniture, and associated items.
• Creates service requests to document work performed and completes all assigned work orders promptly.
• Documents all work on a daily basis and maintains technical logs with relevant data.
• Performs all other duties as assigned, adhering to Virginia Lottery Regulations and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of maintenance job experience.
• Must obtain and maintain all required licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery regulations.
• Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, flexible shifts, and/or unusual hours.
• Drivers of company vehicles must have a valid driver’s license and meet company standards.

Skills

• Knowledge of machines and equipment, including basic hand and power tools, spray equipment, and safe use of hazardous materials.
• Ability to operate an aerial lift; HVAC certification preferred.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules as needed.
• Strong communication skills with all levels of employees and guests.
• Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Exceptional guest service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Pay

Pay Range: $14 - $19 per hour.
