Responsibilities
- Ensure the facility is in a safe and operable condition at all times.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Manager(s) to ensure proper scheduling for repairs and maintenance to be the least disruptive to production needs.
- Maintain and repair warehouse equipment and facility systems according to a preventative maintenance (PM) schedule.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to facility systems and light warehouse equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and operational issues in a timely manner to minimize disruption to production.
- Perform general facility maintenance including lighting repairs, minor electrical work, plumbing fixtures, and general building upkeep.
- Complete and document preventative maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs to maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Work closely with Warehouse Managers to schedule maintenance activities in ways that minimize disruption to daily operations.
- Identify potential equipment reliability issues and recommend improvements that increase operational efficiency.
- Cookordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialized repairs, inspections, or installations when needed.
- Maintain an organized maintenance workspace and assist with managing maintenance parts and supply inventory.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures including proper lockout/tagout practices.
- Demonstrate ownership of equipment uptime and support the operational needs of the warehouse team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial, warehouse, or facilities maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, motors, and mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to safely operate power tools and hand tools and accurately read a tape measure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with management.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and intellectual curiosity.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to respond to occasional urgent maintenance needs outside of normal operating hours when equipment failures impact production.
Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience working in a warehouse, fulfillment, laundry, or light production environment.
- Experience maintaining light production or garment processing equipment.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Welding or light fabrication experience.
- Experience tracking preventative maintenance activities using spreadsheets or maintenance software.
