We are looking for a skilled maintenance technician to perform building maintenance across multiple trades, ensuring safe and functional facilities for our employees and clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC work to identify and correct building and equipment problems, preventing degradation and service interruptions.
- Repair, modify, construct, fabricate, install, and maintain building structures and equipment (e.g., roofs, floors, walls, ceilings, foundations, generators, HVAC equipment, compressors) to ensure safe conditions.
- Replace or update inoperable or outdated building materials and appliances (e.g., motors, belts, pumps, window glass, sinks, doors, smoke alarms, cabinets, shelves, tile, light fixtures, filter systems, patios) to maintain a safe and comfortable working environment.
- Inspect facilities, equipment, systems (e.g., electrical, plumbing, power sources), and vendor work to assess condition, safety, and scheduled maintenance needs.
- Maintain grounds by mowing lawns, landscaping, and ensuring general upkeep.
- Maintain cleanliness of gutters and service all equipment.
- Ensure quality services through participation in the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process.
- Demonstrate competence and responsiveness to cultural differences among customers and employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of all levels of building maintenance.
- Three years of experience in maintenance is highly preferred.
- Possession of a valid North Carolina driver’s license and ability to be insured by Eliada’s insurance carriers.
- Ability to sit, walk, and stand for up to 8 hours in varying indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
