Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the facility, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment for residents, visitors, and employees.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, systems, and buildings.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
- Maintain resident rooms, common areas, and facility grounds.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance concerns.
- Absorb and assist with painting, carpentry, and general building repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility policies.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and repair records.
- Assist with facility projects and renovations as needed.
- Support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience in healthcare, long-term care, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
