Maintenance Tech

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the facility, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, comfortable, and attractive environment for residents, visitors, and employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, systems, and buildings.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
• Maintain resident rooms, common areas, and facility grounds.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance concerns.
• Absorb and assist with painting, carpentry, and general building repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility policies.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and repair records.
• Assist with facility projects and renovations as needed.
• Support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in healthcare, long-term care, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
