Atlantic Residential is seeking a highly qualified Maintenance Technician for our community, Hewer at the Crossing. We require all technicians to hold current EPA certifications. If you do not yet have these certifications, we offer full support in obtaining EPA certification immediately after hire.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional image and attitude in keeping with company objectives and residents’ welfare.
- Report to the supervisor for work assignments and satisfy service requests promptly (within 24 hours). Notify residents of any delays.
- Provide 24-hour “Emergency Service” by participating in an on-call rotation.
- Inform the supervisor of needed parts and supplies.
- Leave notices in residents’ apartments explaining reasons for entrance and work performed.
- Observe and report the condition of occupied apartments (e.g., cleanliness, pets, appliances, walls).
- Perform “make-ready” tasks in turnover units as directed.
- Keep the property clean, including routine trash pickup and snow removal when needed.
- Remain knowledgeable of the location of water, gas, power turnoffs, fire extinguishers, and emergency contacts.
- Collaborate on preventative maintenance (e.g., cleaning furnaces, A/C coils, oiling motors, changing filters, maintaining pools, pressure cleaning).
- Monitor the condition of vacant apartments and track tools under inventory.
- Maintain a clean and orderly shop, including monthly inspections for cleanliness and inventory control.
- Work safely at all times and report all needed repairs to the supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- One year of experience in facility maintenance and/or mechanical repair.
- Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building/grounds maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to understand and communicate in basic English.
- EPA certifications Type II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (required; support provided if not yet certified).
- CPO certification (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license (may be required to operate a golf cart on property).
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
- Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet).
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, or maneuver weights of up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.
- Must be able to travel to assist other properties, attend training, or meetings as needed.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays for on-call rotations.
