About the role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing devices, machines and equipment as well as preventive maintenance of all AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange equipment. This position ensures the building structures, fixtures and other company-related services operate smoothly and efficiently. Technicians are also responsible for proper documentation of all work performed and involvement in day-to-day production. May train employees on the handling of equipment. Travel may be required as needed, depending on the location. All AmeriGas employees are required to model a commitment to safety through day-to-day behavior and follow company safety procedures and policies.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial equipment and machinery
- Perform preventive maintenance on AmeriGas Cylinder Exchange equipment
- Ensure building structures, fixtures, and services operate efficiently
- Document all work performed
- Assist in day-to-day production as required
- Train employees on equipment handling
- Adhere to company safety procedures and policies
Requirements
- 1 year of industrial maintenance experience
- Plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical experience
- Workable computer skills (typing, web-based programs)
- Ability to work in a team and independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Industrial preventive maintenance practices
- Industrial repair/general maintenance experience
- Industrial 3-phase experience
- Electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Basic welding experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word & Excel)
- Basic carpentry experience

Pay
The pay for this position ranges from $26.50 to $27.50 per hour, depending on skills, qualifications, degrees, certifications, prior job experience, and market data. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance-based bonus or commissions.
