Maintenance Tech 2

About the Role

The Maintenance Tech performs work related to the operation, maintenance, and security of buildings, grounds, and facilities to ensure efficient plant operation. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, participating in, and inspecting the work of outside contractors engaged in maintenance, repair, and safeguarding of buildings and community assets. This role may require being on call in case of an emergency.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair building systems and facilities.
• Plan, schedule, and inspect work performed by outside contractors.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as part of an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of previous experience in building maintenance or construction, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Pool certification or willingness to obtain it at the employer’s cost; experience with pools is a plus.
• Certification, license, or equivalent as required by state/local regulations for operating or repairing equipment in technical fields such as HVAC, building trades, or utilities (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current and valid driver’s license with a driving record free of major infractions.
• Availability that includes evenings and some weekends.

Schedule

Primarily Monday through Friday, 8 AM–4 PM. Occasional weekends and on-call rotation required.

Pay

Hourly range: $25–$28, depending on experience.
