Maintenance Mechanic
2nd Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
- Training: Must be available to train on first shift during the first few months.
Qualifications
- Education: A minimum of a two-year technical degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing maintenance setting.
- Job Experience:
- One year bindery or print equipment experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain production machinery and plant equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, and nonscheduled repairs.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, PLC/HMI, and motion-control issues.
- Assist with machine setup, changeovers, equipment installation, and startup.
- Respond promptly to equipment downtime and assist operators with troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret manuals, work orders, schematics, and electrical drawings.
- Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and diagnostic equipment safely.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous-improvement projects.
- Create or update procedures, setup instructions, and training documentation.
- Follow OSHA lockout/tagout, NFPA 70E, ISO, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
