What You’ll Do

  • Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Perform routine and minor maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical, wiring, and general repairs.
  • Maintain furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and water systems to ensure resident comfort.
  • Replace air-conditioner filters and complete monthly maintenance checklists.
  • Assist with disaster preparedness, including fire drills and emergency readiness activities.
  • Notify management of major repair needs involving lighting, HVAC, plumbing, or building systems.
  • Remove snow, ice, debris, and hazards from sidewalks and grounds.
  • Oversee landscaping services and assist with lawn care, trimming shrubs, and flower maintenance as needed.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and appropriately.

Physical Demands

  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and change positions frequently.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull equipment as needed.

Safety Requirements

  • Follow OSHA and facility safety policies at all times.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Report work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentation.
  • Participate in company drug testing procedures.

Work Environment

  • This role operates both indoors and outdoors and includes interaction with residents, staff, vendors, and community leadership.
  • Flexibility is required to respond to maintenance needs and emergencies.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance, equipment operation, and safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and follow maintenance schedules and instructions.
