Maintenance Supervisor (San Mateo Market)

About the role

The Neighborhood Service Manager at Prometheus is responsible for all physical operations of the Neighborhood, particularly the preservation and maintenance of the property. They lead the Neighborhood staff, manage budgets, oversee safety training, and maintain inventory.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive, productive relationships with the Neighborhood staff
• Hire, train, and mentor staff
• Resolve problems and look out for the best interest of the Neighborhood
• Manage the budget through cost-effective maintenance functions
• Lead on-going safety training
• Be in charge of capital projects
• Manage vendors and contractors
• Maintain inventory
• Know where to find answers for the team and Neighborhood
• Be a knowledge holder of company policies and an example of compliance with rules and regulations

Requirements

• A minimum of five years' experience and/or training in apartment maintenance
• A minimum of two years supervisory experience
• Effective presentation and response to questions from various groups
• On-call availability
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Three certificates from related institutions in maintenance-related courses
• A working knowledge of federal, state, and local governing laws
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally

Pay

The provided salary range is $47.25 to $51.75 per hour. Discretionary semi-annual bonus plan, standby pay, and on-call premium pay are also available. Other bonuses and incentives may apply.
