Maintenance Supervisor - Plantwide Electrical

About the role

Coordinate, manage, teach, develop, coach, facilitate, and motivate team participative skills to attain maintenance and reliability goals, quality standards, spending targets, safety and housekeeping, training, technology adoption, and individual behavioral qualities. This position requires strong leadership, multitasking, excellent employee relations, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for daily workforce activities.
• Maintain a safe work environment free of harassment, adhering to 5S standards and all safety procedures.
• Coach and counsel employees on standard operating practices and “best practices” to increase performance.
• Coordinate and evaluate training for new employees in their job requirements.
• Monitor product quality to ensure customer specifications are met or exceeded.
• Work with other departments to ensure the production schedule is met.
• Coordinate repairs with the maintenance department to maintain operations.
• Schedule work to meet production demands.
• Implement the Labor Agreement, corporate policies, and good housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent; B.S. in Business/Management or Engineering field preferred.
• 2-4 years of related experience utilizing leadership skills in a high-production environment, preferably in an industrial setting such as metal rolling/slitting manufacturing.
• Good organizational skills, effective oral and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and shift work as required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Ability to take initiative, demonstrate leadership, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment.

About Constellium

Constellium Muscle Shoals is an aluminum manufacturing plant based in Alabama with over 1,200 employees. The site features the widest strip mill in the USA and a world-class recycling center, capable of recycling nearly 20 billion cans per year. Muscle Shoals primarily produces aluminum can sheet for the packaging industry, including body stock, coated end stock, and tab stock for beverage containers. It also supplies Auto Body Sheet substrate to Constellium’s Bowling Green, Kentucky, site.
