Maintenance Supervisor - Nights

Responsibilities

• Supervise all daily activities of the PM and maintenance teams for plant support.
• Track completion of the teams' tasks and support training activities.
• Service and maintain machines on site.
• Ensure preventive maintenance is performed.
• Ensure machine breakdowns are repaired.
• Maintain current and accurate records of maintenance.
• Ensure all relevant manufacturer modifications and updates are performed/installed.
• Maintain a sound spare part warehouse.
• Ensure good housekeeping.
• Ensure availability of spare parts.
• Supervise contractors on site.
• Ensure all employees understand and follow company policies and procedures.

Leading the Team

• Ensure the team works together as efficiently as possible.
• Assess training needs of staff and ensure execution of training.
• Ensure staff are brought in to cover absenteeism and holidays.
• Correctly record time and attendance of the team.
• Develop training plans and support activities.
• Supervise personal needs (time off requests, tools, etc.).

Requirements

• Four-year degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum four years of work experience at ALPLA or similar industry required.
• Experience with Computer Control Systems on machines.
• Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Hands-on experience running a busy engineering department.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good leadership skills.
• Thorough understanding of technical aspects of different types of equipment.
