Maintenance Supervisor (Miramar & Beach Park)

About the role

The Neighborhood Service Manager at Prometheus is responsible for all physical operations of the Neighborhood, particularly the preservation and maintenance of the property. They lead the Neighborhood staff, manage budgets, oversee safety training, and maintain inventory.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive, productive relationships with the Neighborhood staff.
• Hire, train, and mentor staff members.
• Resolve problems and look out for the best interest of the Neighborhood.
• Manage the budget through cost-effective maintenance functions.
• Lead on-going safety training, capital projects, manage vendors and contractors, and maintain inventory.
• Know where to find answers for your team and Neighborhood, acting as a knowledge holder of company policies and an example of compliance with rules and regulations.

Requirements

• A minimum of five years' experience and/or training in apartment maintenance and a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
• Effective presentation and response to questions from various groups.
• Availability for on-call support during non-standard hours.

Qualifications

• A High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Three certificates from related institutions reflecting completion of maintenance related courses, such as: BOMA, IREM and/or vocational programs.
• A working knowledge of federal, state, and local governing laws, and the ability to read and interpret documents such as: safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Pay

The provided salary range is $40.25 to $44.00 per hour, with a discretionary semi-annual bonus plan, standby pay, and on-call premium pay. Other bonuses and incentives may apply.
