Job Summary
Weinstein Properties, a family-owned company with over 60 apartment communities across multiple states, seeks a skilled and motivated Maintenance Supervisor in Training for their Richmond, VA area. This role involves managing and coordinating a service team to ensure upkeep and repairs are completed efficiently, while also scheduling and supervising work.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate activities of a service team to ensure upkeep and repairs are completed efficiently
- Diagnose and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structural, and appliances
- Schedule and directly supervise all in-house and/or vendor work
- Share on-call with other team members
- Maximize rents and maintain high occupancy levels through professional maintenance practices and quality control
- Create a positive resident experience through customer service-driven maintenance
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years trade-related experience with at least 1 year of hands-on apartment maintenance lead, assistant, or supervisory experience
- Strong working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance including electrical, plumbing, appliance repairs, interior/exterior maintenance, and carpentry
- EPA/CFC Refrigerant certification (Type I and II or Universal)
- Hands-on HVAC repair experience required
- Computer skills: use business software to assign and manage work orders, schedule turns, order supplies, and communicate via email
- Willingness to share on-call with other team members
- Valid driver's license, transportation, and tools required

Compensation
- Starting pay at $26 per hour depending on experience
- On Call Bonus - $150 per week (calls or no calls) plus additional $150 per holiday on call bonus
- Quarterly Bonus – $1,110 potential (based on performance of property and team)
